RELATIONSHIPS

“In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.
If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honouring each other. Never be lazy but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”
Romans 12:6-11 [NLT]
Community and how we relate within that context is an essential part of a Believers life – OUR RELATIONSHIPS MATTER. Pastor Kolawole Anthony believes in a bible-based approach to relating with one another. Believers must have relationships based on mutual respect, genuine love for God and for one another irrespective of race, age and gender. He believes the Body of Christ must be accommodating and abhor all sorts of discrimination.
His book The Purpose Filled Woman recognises that half of the members of The Church of God are women and in most of our communities they usually take the back seat and hide their gifts and anointing. Pastor Kolawole believes that in the Body of Christ there should be no racial or gender discrimination, Galatians 3:26-29 [NIV]
“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
